ABOUT Tammi

I love bright colors because they provoke happiness. I draw my design inspiration from the things that make me laugh and things I find joyful.

Before the pandemic hit, I decided to change my life and I wasn’t going to let anything stop me. After a successful career in IT at the Director level, I quit in order to pursue a passion — making fabric. My only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner.

I am on the cusp of graduating from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a B.F.A. in Textile & Surface Design. I am also the founder of a small accessories company, yarn&whiskey, a brand focused on providing high quality bags and pouches to the crafting community. In fact, I decided to learn surface design because I love the wax prints I use for yarn&whiskey and I wanted to learn how to create my own designs.

My design aesthetic can be described as maximalist whimsy, but I can follow a brief. I am open to all design opportunities from print, to knit design, to wovens. If you’re interested in licensing my designs, please contact me using the link below.
